Somali President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo is scheduled to lead the opening ceremony of the joint Lower and Upper House of parliament on Wednesday.
The head of state will address the joint session which will take place at General Kahiye Somali Police Academy hall.
The President speech is expected to address key issues ranging from security, economy and politics.
Also present is the speaker of Djibouti parliament, Mohamed Ali Hamud who is a guest to address the parliament.
Security has been beefed up across the capital with closure of main roads in the city.
The Lower House of parliament will conduct its six sessions in the new temporary hall in Villa Hargeysa till the national assembly building will be renovated.
Agreement between TIKA and Somali parliament last year paved way for the construction of seven story building that will host the two houses, offices and meeting hall for the members of both parliament.
