Somali President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo held talks with the leadership of Ahlu Suna in Dhusamareb on Tuesday.
The head of state met the religious movement spiritual leader, Sheikh Mohamud Sheikh Hassan, Galmudug chief cabinet and influential member of the group, Sheikh Mohamed Shakir and Sheikh Abdirizack Mohamed Al Ashari.
The President thanked the Sufi leadership for their exemplary role and hard work towards a unified and inclusive administration in Galmudug state.
On their part, Ahlu Suna officials appreciated the efforts by the Federal government led by President Farmajo in reconciliation and peace building process through close cooperation with the Sufi movement.
Meanwhile, the head of state also held separate meeting with heads of security agencies recently deployed in the state and Galmudug reconciliation committee which spearheaded the conference.
The President repeated his calls to improve welfare of the armed forces including remunerations while urging them to double their efforts to strengthen law and order in the state.
Somali leader who officially closed the reconciliation conference returned back in the capital on Tuesday afternoon.
