Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheyre has on Monday called upon government officials to give extra efforts in dealing with the prevention of COVID 19 in the country.
The premier was speaking during a meeting with COVID 19 emergence response committee via video conference.
Hassan Ali Kheyre said his administration will focus all its energy on prevention and awareness mechanisms.
He appealed for united approach and cooperation among various agencies during this difficult situation in the horn of the African state.
The number of the people with various in the country has increased in past one week with 29 new cases only on Sunday putting the overall number to 164.
The ministry of health and social services is still involved in examining new samples taken for possible Coronavirus test.
Extra medical facility to deal with the upsurge has been established in Banadir and Yaldameri in Mogadishu by the direction of the office of the prime minister which is spreading the prevention of COVID 19.
