Somali government said it had directed investigation into the abduction and murder of health workers and a civilian outside Somali capital.
In a statement, Somali ministry for Information said the authorities have ordered for the prosecution of the perpetrators of the attack which claimed lives of innocent.
“The government ordered immediate into the incident and prosecution of those behind the massacre of these innocent people,” the statement reads in part.
The announcement comes hours after United Nations (UN), terming termed the abduction and murder of the victims as shock.
In statement, the deputy Special Representative of UN secretary-general, Adam Abdelmoula has condemned the murder of seven health care workers and civilian on the outskirts of Somalia’s capital on Thursday.
The bodies of the victims who were kidnapped on Wednesday from Bal’ad town just 30km away from Mogadishu were found in Gololay village in Middle Shabelle region.
No group has yet claimed responsibility.
