Somalia on Sunday confirmed 194 new positive Covid-19 cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 17,210.
About 3,205 samples collected from different region were tested in the last 24 hours.
According to the ministry of health, Benaadir recorded highest number which is 65 followed by Puntland state and Somaliland 60 and 29 cases respectively.
Galmudug, Jubbaland and Southwest states registered 21, 18 and 1 respectively.
The cases include affected 95 males and 99 females.
About 74 more people were reported to have recovered from the disease; hence the total number of recoveries is now at 8,286.
Unfortunately, 15 people have succumbed to coronavirus in the country, the total number of fatalities now being 953.
