The Puntland regional state of Somalia has nominated four members to represent it at the national administration.
A letter from Abdulahi Saed Deni office addressed to the office of Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has named Abdiweli Tima-Adde, Muse Guelleh Farole, Burhan Elmi Filig and an adviser to President Said Abdullahi Deni.
The four nominated officials will represent Puntland in the Federal Electoral Commission (FEC) or NIEC.
Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble has written to state leaders days ago to submit their list in the electoral commission ahead of the scheduled parliamentary elections which is expected to kick off next month.
The leaders from Galmudug, Hirshabelle, and Southwest states are also set to submit their representatives to the federal government.
Security has been heightened across the country by Somali security agencies backed by AU peacekeepers to prevent attacks from the armed group al Shabaab during the electioneering period.
