The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mohamed Hussein Roble has held talks with the UK Special Representative for the Horn of Africa, Ambassador Philip Parham, in Geneva.
The Prime Minister and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations and the development of strong cooperation between the two countries.
They also discussed the severe drought situation in Somalia.
Ambassador Philip Parham emphasized the UK Government’s continued commitment to support Somalia.
They also discussed the country’s electoral process which is in its final stages.
The Ambassador thanked Prime Minister Roble for his good management of the country’s elections which have reached a successful conclusion.
For his part, the Prime Minister thanked the UK Government for its continued co-operation and friendship with the Government of Somalia, especially in the face of such difficult circumstances.
