The authorities in Jubbaland state have on Tuesday declared night curfew in an effort to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the state.
A meeting by the regional COVID 19 emergency response committee said the dusk to dawn curfew will come into effect from 6 pm to 6 am.
According to Jubbaland police commissioner, General Adan Mohamed the curfew will be implemented from Tuesday.
The security officials directed the trade to close their business to follow the order.
The state recorded the first two Coronavirus cases on Tuesday and was quarantined at Kismayo general hospital.
More than 70 people suspected over COVID 19 in Jubbaland are also under the watch of health officials.
Jubbaland is the second regional administration to report the discovery of Coronavirus in its territory after Hirsballe state minister for justice, Khalif Mumin Tohow succumbed to the virus last week in Mogadishu after transferred from Jowhar, the administrative capital.
