A Somali Government delegation led by Interior and Federal Affairs Minister, Abdi Mohamed Sabriye arrived in Dhusamareb, the administrative capital of Galmudug state on Wednesday.
The Minister and his delegation were welcomed by local officials upon arrival at the airport from the capital, Mogadishu.
The visit is linked to upcoming regional parliament and Presidential elections scheduled before the end of the year.
The Ministry of Interior and Federal affairs will play a supervisorial role during the crucial process.
Elections timetable released by the technical committee on Monday will see the regional poll process to commence on Friday 29th November.
The process will conclude on 23rd December with the election of a new regional state leader and his deputy.
There are more than five candidates for regional state leadership led by former Interior Minister, Abdirahman Odowa and Ahmed Abdi Kaariye, current state Minister for public works and housing.
