The leader of Hirshabelle state, Mohamed Abdi Ware and his deputy Ali Gudlawe have condoled over the death of regional state minister for Justice Khalif Mumin Tohow on Sunday.
The late Tohow succumbed to Corona virus pandemic, while undergoing treatment in Mogadishu after he was transferred from Jowhar last week following symptoms.
The officials sent their condolences to the family and friends of the late member of the regional parliament.
“It was really very shocking when I had the news of his death; Hon. Mumin was a patriotic citizen who played key part in the establishment of Hirshabelle state.” President Warre said.
They urged the residents of the state to take the virus seriously by taking instructions from the ministry of health including staying at home and social distancing.
Several regional officials who were in contact with the diseased went into self-quarantine.
Somalia Ministry of Health has on Sunday announced four more positive cases mainly in the capital Mogadishu putting the number across the country to 25 with two deaths and two recoveries.
