The leader of Galmudug state, Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qorqor who is hosting an ongoing third round talks between the leadership of the Federal government and regional member states in Dhusamareb has called upon his counterparts from Puntland and Jubaland to attend the talks.
Speaking shortly after the head of state Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo chaired the opening session on Monday evening, President Qorqor urged Saed Abdullahi Deni and Ahmed Mohamed Islam to join the talks as soon as possible in order to resolve their political difference.
He added that dialogue is the only way forward to resolve the differences regarding the contentious topic surrounding the election model.
“We have received in Dusamareb, President Farmaajo, Lafta Garen, Ware and Omar Filish for Dhuusamareb three to kickoff. We have urged our brothers of Puntland and Jubaland to join the talks.
The leaders of Puntland and Jubbaland did not attend the crucial meeting but release a press statement separately faulting the role of President Farmajo in what they described as not fulfilling previous agreements reached in the earlier meeting in Galmudug administrative capital.
