National Consultative Forum which convened by the Prime Minister, Mohamed Hussein Roble has today commenced at the Afisyoni tent in Mogadishu.
According to the office of the prime minister, the meeting chaired by prime minister Mohamed Hussein Roble will focus on implementation of the upcoming elections, the preparation of the election procedures of the Parliament as well as securing funds for the election.
The meeting which had been earlier scheduled for Thursday 19th was pushed back to Saturday (today).
All the regional leaders including Galmudug’s President, Ahmed Qoorqoor, Jubbaland’s Leader, Ahmed Madobe and SouthWest’s President, Abdiaziz Laftagreen, Puntland state leader, Saed Abdullahi Deni, Jubbland president Ahmed Mohamed Islaam are present at the meeting.
In attendance of the meeting is also Mogadishu mayor, Omar Mohamud Filish.
Somalia is expected to hold its lower house and presidential elections right after the conclusion of the elections of Upper House.
