Somaliland police have arrested a foreign citizen whose nationality was not disclosed at Egal International Airport in Hargeysa.
The man who was about to travel outside the self-declared state was found in possession of about 300 insects in his bag.
Somaliland criminal investigation department director, Faysal Hiis Elmi confirmed the incident saying the suspect is in police custody for the action.
The director of forest and games, Abdinassir Hussein described the move by the traveler as illegal adding that he will be arraigned before a court of law to answer charges.

Hargeysa based administration has recently tightened its borders following increased reported cases of hunting special species in the unrecognized state in Northern Somalia.
