The World Health Organization will help the Federal Government of Somalia in enhancing access to basic health services.
The support was discussed during a meeting between Somali Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheyre together with Dr. Peter Salama, WHO Deputy Director-General, Emergency Preparedness, and Response and country representative, Dr. Mamunur Rahman Malik in Mogadishu on Monday.
The two sides explored mechanisms for comprehensive partnership in enhancing access to basic healthcare for all in the horn of the African nation.
The visiting WHO Deputy Director-General, Emergency Preparedness, and Response praised Somalia’s Government efforts towards access to basic health services to its citizens.
The meeting was attended by senior health officials in the country including, Health and Social services minister, Dr. Fowziya Abikar Nur.
With the help of its international partners including Turkey, the Federal Government of Somalia has embarked on rigorous efforts to improve health provisions across the country.
