Nine people including six Somalis and three Turkish engineers who were injured bomb blast last week have been airlifted to Turkey for treatment, Turkish officials have confirmed.
At least four people were killed and over twenty other were injured last Saturday after a suicide car bomb targeted a police convoy escorting Turkish contractors outside Mogadishu.
According to Andolu Agency, a medical team from Turkey travelling on an A400M type military transport aircraft of the Turkish Armed Forces have Tuesday arrived in Aden Adde International Airport.
The medical team will also treat three Turkish citizens and six Somalis.
Speaking to Anadolu Agency, Semih Korkut, an official from the Ministry of Health said that preparations were made to bring back those injured in the attack on the instructions of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Last December, the government of Turkey sent a military plane to airlift about 16 people who were seriously injured truck bomb attack at a checkpoint I Ex-control area.
