The health authorities of the Southwest regional state of Somalia have received medical supplies and COVID 19 prevention kits from the federal government.
The supplies delivered in Baidoa by the federal health officials were received by regional officials led by the Health Minister, Mohamed Osman who thanked the central government.
They include beds and other equipments that will be used in the recently established quarantine center in Baidoa general hospital.
The state has so far, no single coronavirus records as it puts extra efforts in curbing the spread from neighboring regions mainly Banadir administration where the capital, Mogadishu is situated.
The medication and protective equipment were recently donated by Somalia’s international partners such as China and Turkey.
