Dozens of Somali traders have convened in Dubai of United Arab Emirates (UAE) to attend Gulfood Fair and Beverage Trade Exhibition.
The exhibition which opened its doors on Sunday at the Dubai World Trade Centre attracted hundreds of entrepreneurs, companies, across the world.
Gulfood expo which will run for five is the world’s largest food and beverage trading export.
The companies which participated in the fair have displayed variety of foods and drinks from different countries.
Over ten Somali owned companies participating in the exhibition featuring the most popular commodities in Somalia, such as sesame, banana, dried lemons, chilli, groundnuts, beans, oils, meat and other foods.
The Growth, Enterprise, Employment and Livelihoods (GEEL) and USAID are supporting the inclusive economic growth for Somalia farmers and help some the Somali participants to bring their products to the export trade.
