Somali Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister Mohamed Abdirizak have urged international partners’ representatives in the country to keep off from the ongoing diplomatic tiff between his country and neighboring Kenya.
Speaking during the recently concluded annual Somali Partnership Forum the Mr. Abdulrazack said the matter is not for discussion in such a forum.
“With regards to our bilateral relations with neighbors, this is not a matter for discussion in this forum.”
“Somalia respects the sovereignty and territorial integrity of neighboring countries.” He added.
On Monday, Somalia ended the visa on arrival to Kenya passport holders which will be effective from December 13, 2020.
Earlier on, The Federal Government through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation recalled its ambassador to Nairobi while directing Kenya envoy in Mogadishu back home for consultation over what the Ministry of Information termed as recurrent interference of Kenya into Somalia internal affairs via Jubbaland administration.
