President of the Republic of Senegal Macky Sall received the credentials of new Somalia’s Ambassador to Senegal Ambassador Mohamed Hussein Abukar.
Ambassador Abukar was reappointed to continue his diplomatic mission for the second time after serving a four-year term.
The new ambassador who will also serve the interest of Mogadishu in the west African region has also conveyed the greetings of President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo to the President of the Republic of Senegal, wishing the government and people of Senegal further progress and prosperity.
President Sall wished the new ambassador success in his new duties and assured all necessary support in boosting close bilateral relations.
Somalia has embarked on new foreign policy under the leadership of President Farmajo.
It has about 40 diplomatic missions across the globe.
