The President of Somalia Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has chaired the FG-FMS consultation forum on in Dhusamareb, Galmudug state Monday evening.
The meeting was attended by the host Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qoroqor of Galmudug, Mohamed Abdi Ware of Hirshabelle, Abdiaziz Hassan Mohamed Lafta Garen of Southwest and the Governor of Banadir region Omar Mohamed Mohamud Filish.
The President of Jubbaland Ahmed Mohamed Islam and his counterpart from Puntland Saed Abdullahi Deni who were expected did not attend the significant summit.
The leader of Galmudug Ahmed Abdi Kariye Qorqor who is hosting the meeting called upon his counterparts from Garowe and Kismayo to join the talks in order to resolve their political difference.
Addressing during press conference President Qorqor said the difference can be resolved through dialogue.
“We have received in Dusamareb, President Farmaajo, Lafta Garen, Ware and Omar Filish for Dhuusamareb three to kickoff. We have urged our brothers of Puntland and Jubaland to join the talks.
In a statement on Monday, Puntland state called for the participation of the international community representative in the meeting.
On its part, Jubbaland state has also called upon urgent political solution towards the stalemate on the type of election model to be conducted in the country before February 2021.
