At least four security guards have been injured this morning after landmine concealed a trash drum went off the South Galkayo town.
The blast happened at the entrance of Galkayo District headquarters.
Sources says the blast went off minutes after the district commissioner Abdirahman Sheikh Hassan reached the office.
Hassan reportedly survived the attack but some of his soldiers sustained injuries.
The mine went off as meeting between the officials started at the headquarters.
No group has yet claimed the responsibility for the attack.
