Several people have been injured and properties destroyed after a car laden with exploded near a security checkpoint in Somali capital on Saturday.
Witnesses says the car passed through DabkaJunction before the soldiers sprayed it with bullets and subsequently went off near Sayidka checkpoint which is not far away from Somali parliament building.
The blast destroyed over ten vehicles including six auto-rickshaws parked along the road.
Ambulances have arrived at scene to ferry the victims of the blast. Somali government has not yet commented on the the explosion.
