The government of Bahrain has condemned car bomb attack that took place near the Presidential Palace and Parliament building in Mogadishu.
The car bomb explosion which happened near Sayidka Junction has resulted in the death and injury of a number of people.
In a statement, Bahrain foreign Ministry expressed sincere condolences to the families of the victims, the government and the brotherly Somali people, wishing a speedy recovery for all the injured.
The ministry affirmed Bahrain’s solidarity with the government of the Federal Republic of Somalia in confronting dangerous terrorist organisations, stressing its firm position that rejects all forms of extremism and terrorism.
It also stressed the need for concerted efforts to combat terrorism and dry up its sources of funding.
