A Somali man has been seriously injured after he fell off a cargo container on Tuesday morning, police said.
Police said in a statement that at around 9am they were informed that a person had fallen from height at the Ħal Far industrial estate.
Preliminary investigations by district police found that a 24-year-old worker from Somalia had fallen from on top of a cargo container.
He was given first aid and rushed to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified as suffering from serious injuries.
Duty magistrate Rachel Montebello is leading an inquiry while police investigations are on going.
