Somali government has directed its diplomatic staff in Nairobi to return in less than a week amid the relations between the two countries hit rock bottom.
According to a statement, the government ordered all its embassy officials to vacate Kenya in five days.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said it had instructed its all remaining staff at the embassy to leave Nairobi with immediate effect.
Last Tuesday, Somalia had cut ties with Nairobi, complicating relations between the two neighbouring states.
Somali Information Minister Osman Dubbe said Somalia had ordered all its diplomats in Kenya to return, while Kenyan diplomats in Somalia ordered to leave within seven days.
Kenya, the minister said, continues meddling in our internal political affairs and it has ignored our previous calls to stop violating our sovereignty.
