Somali government has established modern coordination centre to respond to Coronavirus in the country.
The 247 call centre in the capital operated by trained personnel with presence of leading doctors receives at least over 1000 calls on the advice of the Coronavirus where they provide solutions and refer the suspected cases to doctors and emergency medical services.
According to the authorities the centre is a key in providing much needed information to callers.
It comes at time when some politicians accused the government for failing to provide relevant and accurate information on the corona pandemic.
Meanwhile the health authorities have also confirmed the establishment of new emergency centre to treat those affected by the COVID 19.
The chief medical officer spearheading the COVID 19 emergency response said optional facilities have been put in place to deal with the upsurge.
Dr. Mohamed Mohamud Fuje confirmed the availability of 200 beds capacity which is nearly completion at Banadir and Yaldemeri hospitals with extra oxygen and ventilators for emergency.
