President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo held consultation meeting regarding the response on COVID 19 pandemic in the country.
The head of state was briefed by Minister Health and Social Service, Dr. Fowzia Nur Abikar who leading government efforts in containing the deadly disease.
The high level meeting was also attended by religious leaders, leading doctors and representatives from the chamber of commerce to review the impact of the global health crisis on the various sectors including the economy.
The head of state strongly appealed to the both state and non state actors involved in the prevention measures of the virus to put extra efforts in easing the economic impact on the citizens while putting the safety first.
The country has so far recorded 25 cases with three new cases on Sunday, two deaths were recorded so far including government official and two fully recoveries.
Security agencies will implement night curfew from 15th April to curb spread of the virus
