The family of activist and former Somali diplomat, Almas Elman will hold a tribute for their late daughter in Toronto, Canada.
Her younger sister, Ilwad Elman said they will celebrate the life of Almas during a family and friends meeting on 4th December.
“If you’re in Toronto December 4th, join me and my family in celebrating #Almas Elman ’s life,” Ilwad announced in her Twitter account.
She said the family is still in shock for her demise and thanks all for their warm condolences messages received.
“The past week has been the hardest time of my life, I still can’t believe she’s gone, I read all your messages of support, even when I didn’t have the words to reply,” Ilwad said.
According to AMISOM investigations, Almas was hit by a stray bullet while in a car inside heavily fortified UN compound in Mogadishu on 21st November.
Somali criminal investigation said it launched an investigation on the cause of her death.
