Authorities in the Southwest state have issued a new directive towards airline operators in the region.
The directive from the office of aviation minister, Hassan Hussein Mohamed ordered all flight operators to contact the ministry before making any trip schedule.
According to the minister, the new order is meant to re-organize and boost airport operations.
An African express airways flight was shot down while trying to land in Berdale airstrip in May.
All five people on board were killed including the crew who were Kenyan nationals.
The local and international flights remain suspended across the country since mid-March due to coronavirus pandemic but flights with emergency humanitarian supplies such as medicine are granted special permission.
The Somali aviation authority has last week delayed the resumption of the flights over concerns of the spread of COVID 19 in the country.
Somalia has so far 2696 positive cases with a death toll of 88 people.
