Delegates from Somalia and Somaliland will remain in Djibouti to draw a way forward on the talks between the two sides.
President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo and President Muse Bihi Abdi traveled back home, but seven technical committees each from Mogadishu and Hargeisa were entrusted by parties to represent their interests.
Somalia team is led by Interior Minister, Abdi Mohamed Sabriye while Foreign Minister Yassin Hajji Mohamud Faratoon will head Somaliland side.
The two leaders expressed their confidence in the work of the technical committee.
President Farmajo said his government is ready for a tough decision that will end the stalemate.
“We are here to make very tough decisions so that our people will have a better and prosperous future.
On his side, Somaliland President Muse Bihi wished for the success of the team.
“We are ready and courageous to listen to arguments on the other side; we expect the same from them.” Said President Bihi.
