Somali president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo will be traveling in central Somalia for meeting on national issues.
The president and his delegates are expected to leave Mogadishu today for Dhusameeb to attend Federal and Regional states consultative meeting.
Abdinur Mohamed, the director of communication at Villa Somalia said President Farmajo will participate the forum which is expected to focus on elections.
“In line with the state-building endeavours and in the spirit of enhancing the FGS-FMS cooperation on the way forward, H.E President Farmaajo will be travelling to Dhuusamareeb tomorrow to participate in the 2nd round of FGS-FMS Consultative Forum,” Mohamed said.
According to a communique issued last month following the conclusion of the FG-FMS meeting, the talks was supposed to kick off on 15th month but it seems to have got delayed.
The travel of the president comes barely after international community called on Somali leaders to hold Dhusamareb conference to avoid unilateral decisions.
International community stated that failure by any leader to participate in the next meeting would erode the still fragile trust, undermine the consensus-building process.
