Garissa township Adan Duale has been replaced as the leader of the majority in the National Assembly on Monday.
Duale who has held the post since 2013 will be replaced by Kipipiri member of parliament Amos Kimunya.
This follows a decision made by the party’s PGM chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta in Nairobi.
Eldas legislator Adan Keynan will be the new secretary of the Jubilee coalition.
The new changes come following the widening rift between Uhuru and his deputy William Ruto.
In other changes, Muturi Kigano will now chair the Justice, Legal Affairs, and Human Rights Committee while Kanini Kega will Chair Budget Committee.
