Somalia has recorded five new COVID 19 fatalities on Sunday.
According to the briefs by the Ministry of Health, there are also 46 new infections whom 33 of them are male while the remaining 13 are female.
The authorities also reported zero recoveries for the first time.
The new figures put the death statistics to 23 with overall 436 positive cases.
Somalia has registered a high number of positive cases in the past week which is attributed to citizens not adhering to the regulations and the nature of socialization by the population.
Learning and the transport activities are still canceled but experts have warned the need by the government to take more steps to curb the spread of the deadly disease.
