A journalist working with a local radio and television in Mogadishu was this evening fatally shot in Afgooye, 30km away from Somali capital.
Abdiweli Ali aka Abdiweli Online was rushed to Mogadishu for treatment but succumbed to his injuries before he reached the hospital.
The journalist was working for Radio Kulmiye based in the capital and UK based Somali TV station, Universal TV.
No group has not yet claimed responsibility for the murder of the journalist.
Local authorities in Lower Shabelle region have condemned the killing of the journalist and called for investigation into the murder of the journalist.
