Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta made mini cabinet reshuffle on Tuesday following national address.
President Kenyatta delivered his address from the coastal city of Mombasa at the time of heightened security across the country following al-Shabaab attacks in some parts of the country.
The cabinet reshuffle affected six dockets including the defense and foreign affairs.
Former immediate Defense Minister, Rachel Omama will switch position with her Foreign Affairs counterpart, Monica Juma as new Foreign Affairs and Defense Minister respectively.
Other new members in the reshuffle include Mutahi Kagwe for Health, Sicily Kariuki of Water, Peter Munya for Agriculture, Simon Chelugui of Labor and Ukur Yattani Ukur Yattani as new Treasury minister.
The head of state imposes a 16% VAT on all milk and milk products outside of the East African community states.
He also vowed to fight graft in his government which caused a lot of public outcry.
