President Uhuru Kenyatta this week held talks with U.S. Army General Stephen Townsend.
Townsend has paid him a courtesy call at State House.
Uhuru’s discussion with Townsend, who is the Commander of the U.S. Africa Command, centred on peace and security in the Horn of Africa region with a special focus on Somalia.
He assured the Commander in Chief of continued partnership between the U.S. and the Kenyan military.
Townsend was accompanied by the Chargé d’Affaires at the U.S. Embassy ,Eric Kneedler.
Also present at the meeting were Chief of Defence Forces General Robert Kibochi and Head of Public Service Joseph Kinyua.
