Somalia’s Internal Security Minister, Abdullahi Moalim Nur will lead a committee tasked to tighten the security of the venue hosting the presidential inauguration ceremony in Mogadishu.
President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud who assumed office last week was elected on the 15th of last month during a vote in Mogadishu.
The inauguration ceremony is slated to take on the 9th of June 2022.
The team appointed by Prime minister Mohamed Hussein will the inauguration ceremony.
Other members include the federal defence minister, Abdulkadir Jama and the Minister of Transport and Civil Aviation, Duran Farah.
SNA’s Chief Commander, Gen Odawa Yusuf Rage and Somalia’s Police Commissioner, Gen Abdi Hassan Hijar, and the newly appointed NISA director Mahad Salad are also members of the security committee.
Several African leaders from Ethiopia, Kenya and Djibouti will be attending the ceremony.
