Somali president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has appointed two judges to Banadir Courts as part of his judicial reform in the country.
In a statement on Thursday, the president has dismissed Banadir Regional Court chief and chief of Regional Appeals Court, Muse Moalim Mohamed and Abshir Omar Abdullahi respectfully who had been serving the office for the last three years.
The new judges are: Abdikhadar Mohammed Hassan who will head Banadir Regional Court and Mohamed Ahmed Osman who served as chief Regional Appeals Court.
The president of the federal republic of Somalia appointed new judges to Banadir Regional Court and Regional Appeals Courts following recommendation from the chairperson of the supreme court Ahmed Baashe Yussuf Ahmed,” a Twitter post by Villa Somalia reads in part.
The president has urged the new judges to execute their duties as per rehired and observe the rule of law by serving all people equally.
