Residents of Luuq, a border town in Somalia took to the streets to on Monday in protest against what they termed as interference by neighboring Kenya into their domestic affairs.
The gathering to denounce the meddling is the second to be staged in the area within a week as tensions build up in the border of the two countries.
Militias loyal to embattled Jubbaland state security minister, Abdirashid Janan who is based in the Kenyan border town of Mandera clashed with Somali National Army troops in Beled Hawo.
Hundreds of residents of the two border towns were displaced in the event as calls for calm fall on deaf ears.
The Federal Government of Somalia has accused the Kenya government of interfering in its internal affairs by hosting fugitive Jubbaland cabinet member Abdirashid Janan in Mandera.

Eleven members of parliament from the North-Eastern region Kenya but of Somali ethnicity met Somali President, Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo on Saturday in Mogadishu.
The members were questioned upon their trip back to Nairobi.
