Somaliland House of Representative has rejected some of the newly appointed members of electoral commission ahead of the region’s presidential elections.
The Lawmakers voted unanimously in favor of the new committee, with the exception of three members who were rejected by lawmakers.
The members are:
Adan Ali, nominated by the UCID party, received 68 votes, and was approved.
Ahmed Yusuf received 39 votes and was rejected.
Hussein Abdi Ali received 45 votes and was approved.
Ahmed Osman Hassan received 39 votes and was rejected.
Abdiaziz Hirsi Warsame received 49 votes and was approved.
Muse Hassan Yusuf received 33 votes and was rejected.
Fadumo Ismail Abdi received 67 votes and was approved.
