Somalia and Djibouti have agreed to enhance their bilateral relations following talks between Somali Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre and his Djiboutian counterpart Abdulkadir Kamil Mohamed in Djibouti on Tuesday.
PM Hamza has reached Djibouti Yesterday for a three-day official visit following an invitation by the Djiboutian Prime minister.
During the meeting, PM Hamza lauded the Djibouti government for sending medical aid and doctors to Somalia to assist victims of the Zobe-2 twin bombing late last month.
He pledged to strengthen bilateral cooperation on climate change, drought security, and development.
Djibouti has hundreds of soldiers working under the African Union Transition Mission in Somalia (Atmis). Djibouti forces are backing Somali government forces in the operation against al-Shabaab fighters in the Hiiraan region.
