Somali police officials led by the country’s [police boss Gen. Abdi Hassan Mohamed Hijar have attended Interpol conference in Addis Ababa of Ethiopia.
Police commissioners from Central and East Africa countries have met in Addis Ababa to discuss ways strengthen the cooperation between police in the region against organised crimes.
Gen. Hijaar had a private meeting with the Ethiopian Police Chief Mr. Demelash Gebremicheal as Ethiopia takes over the leadership of the East Africa Police Chiefs (EAPCO).
Gebremicheal pledged commitment of his country to take a lead in combating crimes and maritime piracy in the region.
