Somali Partnership Forum Opens in Mogadishu

Somali Deputy Prime Minister, Mahdi Mohamed Guled led other senior Federal Government official, representatives from 50 states as well as figures from more 200 companies at Somali partnership forum on Tuesday.

Mr. Guled welcomed the participants to the fourth Somalia Partnership Forum saying the Federal Government of Somalia and its International Partners will highlight the progresses and the achievements made.

“Today’s forum will allow both the Federal Government of Somalia and our International Partners to highlight the progresses and acknowledge the achievements of Somalia has made to date.” The Deputy PM said during the opening ceremony.

The two days event will focus on various topics including, National Development plan, inclusive politics, social development, partnership principles, security and justice reforms.

The previous forum was held in European Union headquarters, Brussels where partners agreed to continue their commitment in supporting Somali government’s road to recovery.

Prime Minister, Hassan Ali Kheyre is expected to officially conclude the meeting on Wednesday.
Somali Police Force has apologized to the motorist in the city to cater for the guests and beef security during two days forum.

Deputy Police Force Commander, General, Zakia Hussein urged motorists to seek alternative routes by avoiding restricted areas during the meeting.
