Puntland Vice President Ahmed Elmi Osman Karash has dismissed the region’s interior, finance and security ministers,
Karaash replaced three ministers who are very close allies to President Said Abdullahi Deni with new individuals.
The fired officials include Mohamed Abdirahman Dhabanad (interior minister) who was replaced by Abdiqani Hashi Bumbo, Hassan Shire Abgal (Finance Minister) who was replaced by Abdirizak Mire Hassan (Gawiido) and Abdisamad Gallan who was replaced by Ahmed Haji Ibrahim Bakiin.
The dismissal of these officials escalate the political crisis between Deni and Ahmed Karaash.
According to sources, President Deni is expected return to Garowe immediately to resolve the issue with his deputy.
