Mogadishu mayor, Abdirahman Omar Osman has died in Doha the capital city of Qatar where he was undergoing treatment.
In a Twitter post, Villa Somalia said Abdirahman Omar Osman died Thursday in Qatar, where he had been airlifted for treatment after the July 24 attack.
President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo has extended condolences to the families and relatives of the mayor.
He was in Qatar for medical treatment of his injuries he sustained from an attack last week.
Late mayor and 11 other people were seriously injured in a suicide bombing attack at Mogadishu municipality premises last week.
Al-Shabaab claimed the responsibility for the attack which is suspected to have been executed by a female.
