A car transporting illicit liquor was confiscated in central Somalia following Galmudug state police operations in Abudwaq town.
According to the statement, the law enforcement officials in Abudwaq have seized a NOHA car loaded with 14 cartons of alcohol which was to be smuggled into the town.
The car, which was packed in a house in the October neighborhood of Abudwaq district discovered following public tip off.
Galmudug police officials told the media that the driver of the vehicle and the owner of the house managed to escape before the officials reached the area.
The manhunt of the suspects is underway in different parts of the town.
Galmudug security forces have on several occasions seized alcohol and hashish following public tip off.
