The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, met with some of Somalia’s Ambassadors to foreign countries in Mogadishu.
During the meeting, President Hassan urged the foreign diplomats to help Somali people and government in the efforts to rebuilding the nation.
The meeting was attended by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia Balal Mohamed Osman and the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohamed Ali Nur.
The meeting comes barely a day after President Hassan met with Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Luigi Di Maio.
The President and the Italian Minister of Foreign Affairs discussed the bilateral ties existing between the two countries and how to further strengthen the ties.
For his part, the Italian Foreign Minister congratulated the President on his election and expressed the Italian Government’s support for Somali’s development and security plans.
