Somali president Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has banned all government appointments and administrative changes in the management of government institutions until after the elections.
In a statement, President warned against abuse of office, calling public officials to uphold gov’t reputation at all times.
The President has frozen all appointments and administrative decisions effective from the swearing in of the Members of Parliament on 14 April 2022, calling on the Director General of the Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs, Acting Director General of the National telecommunications Authority & Somali bureau of standards to continue discharging their duties.
The President also instructed all government officials against abuse of public office and misappropriation of national resources and power, warning that anyone found culpable would face the full force of the law.
