Mogadishu mayor, Omar Mohamud Mohamed has called on United Nations to take part in the process of rebuilding Somali capital.
In a meeting with James Swan, UN envoy in S0malia, the mayor stressed that the city needs to launch many development projects in the city to reshape it.
According to a statement by UNSOM on Thursday, both officials discussed wide range issues including security and Public service delivery.
They also discussed ways in which the United Nation can help addresMogadishu mayor calls on the UN to take part in the rebuilding of the City.
The meeting comes on the heel of operations to maintain relative and peace in the city.
Mogadishu local government has carried out changes to improve security.
The security forces have been doing an operation to hunt down al-Shabaab sympathizers.
