President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaaj on Wednesday condoled with the family of former Somali President Abdullahi Yussuf following the death of former the death of President’s wife.
in a statement, President has extended condolences to the family and relatives of the late Hawo Abdi Samatar.
“We belong to Allah and to Him is our return. I am sending my deepest condolences to the family, relatives and Somali people on the passing on of former First Lady Haawo Abdi Samatar, May Allah rest his soul in peace to Ex-President Abdullahi Yussuf Ahmed,” President Farmaajo said. “I am especially sending my condolences with the family of the former President of the country.”
Samatar who who was the wife of the late former Somali president Abdullahi Yussuf Ahmed, died in the United Arab Emirates.
Yussuf served as the President of the Transitional Federal Government from 2004 until 2008 when he resigned from the post.
